Greetings Families! This week our focus was gratitude and what it means to be thankful, and the letter of the week was Q. We continued our focus on anger this week during Second Steps and ways we might manage that feeling. Sometimes anger makes us feel uncomfortable, and The Dragonflies shared a variety of times and situations that they've experienced anger. This week we learned two turkey songs, painted turkeys, made handprint turkeys, made friendship bracelets, and played a turkey counting game. We read The Thankful Book, The Great Turkey Race, and Turkey Goes to School. Ms. Li taught us two new Thanksgiving songs during Music, and in Art Ms. Tara read an acorn story and we made colorful acorns. We also had a special visit from Babaloo on Thursday - what a hit! This will be our final blog post until after Thanksgiving. Kelley and I are so grateful for all you do to support us. Enjoy this special time of year with family and friends.
