Hello Dragonfly Families! Our letter of the week was B, and our focus during Second Steps was managing disappointment. The children learned that it is okay to feel disappointment when they don't get what they want. We also continued to practice taking big belly breaths to calm our feelings of disappointment. This week we played a snowman counting game with dice, created a snowy scene using a mixture of glue and shaving cream for Peter after reading A Snowy Day, made paper snowmen, and played a snowball counting game and a snowman button game. We also read Winter is Here and The Mitten. In Music, we ice skated using paper plates and danced and sang to a new song called "Wintertime Rap," and in Art we completed our sculpture projects.
