Good Afternoon Families! We continue to learn about the many changes we notice during autumn, and our letter of the week was T. This week during Second Steps, we learned to ask for what we need or want by using respectful voices. We encourage all of our Dragonflies to seek help from an adult after trying to solve a problem for themselves if they can do so. The Dragonflies completed our fall cutting samples, made fall trees using loofah sponges, made fall triangle trees, sorted, patterned, and played a numeral to quantity game with various fall manipulatives, and played in the LECC garden on Wednesday! We read Leaf Trouble, Little Acorn, and The Leaf Thief. We were scheduled to have a special visit from the Creve Coeur firefighters on Thursday, but they had to reschedule our class visit for next week. During Music we read The Very Hungry Worry Monster who eats our worries away and sang a fun song to go along with the story, learned another monster song called "The Shy Little Monster," and sang a pumpkin song titled "Five Perfect Pumpkins." In Art, we reviewed patterns and colors and completed a pattern project using glue and square pieces of paper.
